The Sendai Kaleidoscope opened in August 1999; Museum of the kaleidoscope is located in Sendai, Akiu hot springs nearby. Look, touch and can make! Is a hands-on Museum. This museum displays a large variety of kaleidoscopes ranging from 19th-century antiques to contemporary items with modern design. On the second floor are dozens of scopes that can be touched and peeped. The ground floor has a souvenir shop where you can make your kaleidoscopes.
Once you walk through the doors of this museum, you’ll immediately be drawn into the many beautiful images awaiting! Many kaleidoscopes from around the world are assembled, and of course you can take a look inside. We all know that Kaleidoscopes are not just beautiful toys or pieces of art, but they do represent and symbolize that sense of community. After all, the world is just one big kaleidoscope. It is the coming together of all the different personalities, cultures, and talents merging to bring what is truly needed and desired, peace and happiness.
